Process Development Engineer
Brian joined Makino in 2003 and quickly became in engaged in the intricacies of machining technology. After graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Brian started working as an Applications Engineer. In that role Brian worked on projects for a number of high production automotive, medical and small arms parts. This work took Brian across North America and across the globe working in Mexico, Argentina, Japan and extensively in China where he found a new hobby in studying Mandarin Chinese.. Promoted to the role of Process Development Engineer, Brian was charged with the task of understanding and overcoming the challenges of machining hard metals, specifically titanium. Bringing together his practical experience with customers and his R&D experience in the lab Brian serves as the Competitive Intelligence Manager. He is charged with understanding and quantifying the competitive position of our machines in the North American market place. In addition to his work at Makino, Brian is known as an accomplished runner having won the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon and has a passion for working with youth having served as a foster parent, scout leader and Sunday school teacher.
